Blázquez already announced weeks before the Copa del Rey de Santander, one of the great projects of the Royal Spanish Handball Federation lies in the construction of the City of Handball that will finally host the Madrid town of San Sebastián de los Reyesa unique complex that represents a qualitative leap, both at the management level, and in the technification of athletes.
The initial project has a building for the federation headquarters, which will include, in addition to the administrative building, an auditorium and the Handball Museum, a pavilion with capacity for 3,000 spectators, equipped with the latest technology for the preparation of the national teams, a second basic training pavilion, residence, an outdoor complex with beach facilities, a gym, a medical and physiotherapy center, as well as various multifunctional spaces. The management model will aim to combine the activity of the Federation with the intense sports practice of the Madrid municipality.
