World champion helps RTL commentator after embarrassing moment

Patrick Esume was on duty for RTL’s NFL coverage on Sunday. There was also a prominent guest in the stadium whose name Esume didn’t know.
Help for Patrick Esume: The NFL expert was on duty at RTL on Sunday when the match between the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Commanders took place in Madrid. When Oliver Glasner was seen in the stands, the former football player had a small blackout.
He said to the spectators: “Look, that’s the Crystal Palace coach there in the horror. I forget his name, but that was the Crystal Palace coach. Oliver something.” The 51-year-old added: “Sorry guys, I’m not a football expert.”
A short time later, Esume then looked down at his smartphone and said to the audience: “I get a message from Sami Khedira, who of course watches RTL-NFL and writes to me: Glasner was the name of Crystal Palace. Sami Khedira, thank you very much for this information.”
Khedira became world champion with the German national team in 2014 and is very familiar with the world of football. He played for VfB Stuttgart and Real Madrid, among others. Oliver Glasner is currently the coach of the aforementioned Premier League club Crystal Palace. He was previously the coach of Eintracht Frankfurt and won the Europa League with the Bundesliga club in the 2021/22 season.
Under RTL’s post on Instagram, fans said, among other things: “Miss him so much at Frankfurt”, or also: “Oliver in Madrid…?” However, Glasner was not the only celebrity; stars like Zinédine Zidane and Antoine Griezmann were also at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
