Ex-professional Sami Khedira has a new job: In the coming season he will be in front of the camera more often – and as a specialist he will comment on top games.
Sami Khedira becomes a TV expert at the internet sports broadcaster DAZN. “In his new role, Khedira will take on the role of co-commentator and analyze the teams, players and most exciting scenes before and after the games,” said the paid streaming service on Wednesday. His first assignment is therefore on August 10th in the Uefa Super Cup game between Eintracht Frankfurt and his former club Real Madrid.
“Basically, it is planned that I will primarily be used in the top games in the Bundesliga and Champions League,” said the 35-year-old former national soccer player of “Sport Bild”. DAZN had previously hired Michael Ballack as a new expert.
The paid streaming service shows Bundesliga games live on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon. He also has almost all Champions League games on offer. Most recently, DAZN had massively increased the prices.
