The new biography from Maxime Meiland is out and the department close reading from Shownieuws is very busy with it. The show section already revealed that the reality star in her book makes spicy statements about celebrities such as Badr Hari and Waylon and it now appears that Samantha Steenwijk also gets a lot of mud.

Sneak at Samantha

Bart Ettekoven, the former boss of the Weekend who now comments full-time celebrities in Show newssays in the SBS 6 program: “There are some different people that she also lashes out at.”

Top photographer William Rutten: “And that works, of course, because we are now talking about it again.”

Paparazzo wife Anouk Smulders: “And that she also says that Leroy does not like Samantha Steenwijk. Then I think: yes, talking for yourself is one thing, but I wonder if Leroy…”

Uncomfortable

William interrupts Anouk: “She will get her in front of the camera later.”

He points out that Leroy is a cameraman. Bart: “That could also cause an awkward moment. But Maxime has not yet heard from all the people she has called out about in her book. I don’t expect Waylon and Badr to react either, to be honest.”

For the money

Why is Maxime raging against all those celebrities in her book? Presenter Airen Mylene: “There has been criticism that she would only write the book for money, right?”

Bart: “That really stung her. In that respect… If you hand out, you must of course also be able to collect.”

Anouk: “Such a remark is of course also so easy. That’s the first thing people often say out of jealousy.”

Be honest

According to William, it’s just a fact. “Can’t we be honest? You don’t write a book not to make money from it, do you? You can also tell that story at Jinek’s table. Of course you write a book to make money from it. You don’t have to be ashamed of that, do you?”

Bart: “Yes, of course. I think everyone who writes a book hopes it will sell a lot, right?”

And Story boss Guido den Aantrekker a few broadcasts earlier: “Let’s not be more Catholic than the Pope: this is of course just about money. Everything is really about money at the Meilandjes.”
