Sam Edelman founded his eponymous brand with his wife and company co-founder, Libby Edelman. Together they not only built a footwear brand, but turned it into a complete lifestyle brand, committed to bold and whimsical style inspired by timeless American elegance and synonymous with modern luxury.
Throughout his career, the designer has drawn inspiration from all walks of life, even designing entire collections around a muse he saw at the airport.
evolution
Originally, Sam Edelman was supposed to take over his father’s leather distribution company, but he ended up in the shoe industry instead. After collaborating with fashion labels like Ralph Lauren, Esprit and many others, Edelman decided in 2004 to start his own brand. From boots, espadrilles, flats, heels and loafers to mules, sandals, slippers, sneakers and wedges – Sam Edelman has designed every shoe. In addition to shoes, in 2017 he also added dresses, denim, nightwear and outerwear to his collection.

Today, Sam Edelman’s designs can be found in one of 13 flagship stores across the United States in top locations such as Beverly Hills, Palm Beach and SoHo. In addition, the label continues to expand its international presence in cities from Hong Kong to Dubai.
