Saks Global is scheduled to delete further places this week. The reason for this is the merging of business areas after the takeover of Neiman Marcus.

The operator of SAKS and Neiman Marcus is to be released estimated to be 550 employees, reported the WWD specialist magazine based on sources. This number corresponds to three percent of the SAKS workforce globally.

Offices in New York City, Dallas and other locations are particularly affected by this job cancellation. This would affect around 300 employees. This is a further reduction in jobs after five percent of the positions in the company center were canceled in February. In addition, around 500 employees who worked in Tennessee in a recently closed SAKS logistics center lost their job.

The current layoffs of this week should concentrate on the reduction of double structures and overlap after the takeover of Neiman Marcus, according to WWD. As a result, the company wants to reduce costs and enable more efficient cooperation between the teams. This affects the areas of sales, finance, operations, human resources, technology and transformation as well as branch teams.
