Saks appoints Alicia Williams as DEI officer

US online fashion retailer Saks has appointed Alicia Williams as Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). In her new role, she is a new member of the ESG team and will be responsible for driving the execution of DEI’s goals and developing forward-looking strategy in those areas, said the company, which forms part of retailer Saks Fifth’s e-commerce division Avenue emerged on Monday in a statement.

According to her new employer, Williams has more than 15 years of experience in her area of ​​responsibility. Most recently, she was Executive Director, Head of Diversity & Inclusion for US Banks at financial firm Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, she held various management positions at the bank JPMorgan Chase & Co. and at various US universities.
