In January, Saint Laurent celebrated the long-awaited return of menswear to Paris. Now the luxury fashion brand is moving on again – to the German capital.
Saint Laurent’s spring/summer 2024 men’s collection will be presented in Berlin on June 12, the brand confirmed on Wednesday when asked by FashionUnited. Specific information about the venue is not yet known.
While women’s fashion from Saint Laurent is traditionally presented in Paris – also in front of the Eiffel Tower – creative director Anthony Vaccarello has repeatedly chosen unusual venues for his menswear presentations in recent years. New York, Malibu, Venice and most recently the Agafay Desert in Marrakesh have already been the background for Vaccarello’s productions, now it’s Berlin’s turn.
Saint Laurent isn’t the first luxury brand to seem drawn to the Berlin scene. In April 2021 – amid the corona pandemic – Bottega Veneta and then-creative director Daniel Lee made headlines after hosting a “secret” fashion show at Berlin’s cult club Berghain.
