FC Schalke 04 wants to go back to the road to success after a completely disappointing pre -season in the 2nd Bundesliga under the new head coach Miron Muslic. Midfield routiner Janik Bachmann wants to take responsibility and “offer a hotter round” to the fans.
“The coach knows what kind of guy I am and that I would like to be in the team council. But it is the coach’s decision. I am not interrogating myself,” Janik Bachmann told the “West German Allgemeine Zeitung” on the sidelines of the season preparation of FC Schalke.
In a friendly against an amateur selection, the 29-year-old was recently able to act as captain during the second half.

“Even if it was just a test: it was an honor for me to wear the bandage of Schalke 04,” said Bachmann proudly. “Everyone who knows me knows that I work disciplined, whether before, in or after training,” added Bachmann.
The central midfielder has been playing at FC Schalke 04. Bachmann (contract until 2027) since the result of the summer of Hansa Rostock to Gelsenkirchen.

“As a team, we have to move closely together, implement the trainer’s plan. I don’t want to look back, but offer the fans a hotter round than in the past season,” quotes the “WAZ” Bachmann with regard to the season goals of FC Schalke 04.
“There were so many change of coaches when a lot of teams have to be found. After the first five or six match days, you can say more,” the veteran assessed the starting point in the 2nd Bundesliga.
