S.Oliver Group appoints BestSecret founder Marian Gradl-Schikora to the management board

The S.Oliver Group has appointed Marian Gradl-Schikora to the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer (CCO).

Gradl-Schikora will take up his new position in the management of the Rottendorf-based clothing supplier on April 1st, the S.Oliver Group announced on Thursday. In this position he will report directly to CEO Jürgen Otto.

As CCO, Gradl-Schikora will take over the areas of IT and digitization. He will also be responsible for all national and international sales areas – wholesale, e-commerce and retail – as well as merchandise planning.

BestSecret founder moves to S.Oliver Group

Gradl-Schikora previously worked for the BestSecret Group. After 14 years in the management team, he moved to the supervisory board in 2021. He has already held various positions at the off-price fashion retailer in the areas of IT, customer service, category management, content and production, data science, market research, e-commerce, retail and internationalization.

He joined Schustermann & Borenstein in 2000 and then founded BestSecret within the group in 2007. He then headed BestSecret as CEO and in 2012 assumed additional responsibility as Managing Director within Schustermann & Borenstein Holding. From 2018, he assumed the role of CCO of BestSecret Group and “driven the merger of BestSecret and Schustermann & Borenstein into one organization,” according to the release.

With the appointment of Gradl-Schikora, the management consists of CEO Otto, COO Oliver Hein, CFO Kai Bauknecht and CPO Sonja Balodis.
