Vormer put an end to his player career in the summer of 2024 at Zulte Waregem. He mainly made a name for himself at Club Brugge, with which the midfielder won five national titles and a Belgian cup in nine seasons. In 2017, his performance earned him the Golden Shoe.

Vormer settled with his family in Knokke-Heist and is now picking up the trainer’s wire at the local Knokke FC. “I am really looking forward to transferring my experience and winning mentality to the next generation. RKFC is a wonderful club with a clear vision of youth development, and I am proud that I can make a difference with this!”, Says Vormer.

In addition to the former captain of Club Brugge, Knokke with Alain van Eeckhout attracted a second former professional player. He will coach the U19.
