Ruud de Wild receives support from Johan Derksen now that the radio maker has been accused of racism after an interview with documentary maker Julie Ng. “A woman with a vulnerable ego,” he shouts.
While the new regular Today Inside guest Tina Nijkamp shouts out loud that Ruud de Wild and Lauren Verster are guilty of racism by making babi-pangang jokes against Julie Ng, Johan Derksen thinks that is nonsense. He thinks that the maker of the film Meer Dan Babi Pangang is acting incredibly. Just like Tina.
Laugh or I’ll shoot
Johan thinks it’s an affectation. “Julie has to realize: if she is interviewed by telephone on the radio, you have to think: what kind of program am I on?” he says in the podcast. Greetings from Grolloo.
“And Ruud de Wild makes a semi-funny laugh-or-I-shoot show with a sidekick and he kept talking about Chinese food and making some lame jokes about it and she was so upset about that. She was so greedy for publicity that she did not delve into the program she was in.”
Vulnerable ego
It is not racism at all, says Johan, who therefore agrees with Victor Vlam. “It was just a nice, funny program. To immediately file an official complaint… I think she must be happy that Ruud de Wild wanted to pay attention to it, because of course it is not world news, is it, that documentary.”
He concludes: “It’s the old story: it immediately becomes a very charged accusation of racism. The entire woke community wakes up and goes on a rampage on social media. It’s quite something, isn’t it? Because the lady’s honor has been damaged, right, with her fragile ego.”
