Henley & Partners: Russian passport holders can visit 119 countries without a visa

The rating was topped by Japan and Singapore, 192 visa-free destinations are available to holders of passports of these countries. Citizens of Ukraine can visit 141 countries without a visa, Belarus – 79. Afghanistan took the last place (26 countries)

Russian passport at the end of 2021 rose by five lines in the ranking of the consulting company Henley & Partners, which ranks the world’s passports by the number of visa-free destinations.

Last year, Russians were granted visa-free travel to Pakistan. Now Russian citizens can, in theory, travel to 119 destinations without applying for a visa. Due to this and the change in its position in the rating of other countries, Russia moved in the Henley & Partners index from 51st to 46th place.

The first place in the ranking was shared by the passports of Japan and Singapore: their holders can visit 192 countries without a visa. Germany and South Korea follow (190 countries). On the third line of the index were Spain, Italy, Luxembourg and Finland with visa-free access to 189 countries.

The top five also included the passports of Austria (188 countries) and Portugal (189 countries).
