At least four people were killed in a Russian missile attack on the center of the Ukrainian capital early Saturday morning, local authorities in Kyiv said.

Russia launched 39 drones and four missiles in the early morning hours, the Ukrainian air force said. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down two missiles and 24 drones. The four victims were killed when one of the shot down rockets fell over the Shevchenkivskyi district.

This happened as Ukrainian attacks set fire to industrial sites in Russia. Residents of the Tula region also reported a fire in an oil depot. No casualties were reported.

Damage from falling debris from the shot down rocket has been reported in other parts of Kyiv. A factory building, several houses and a metro station are said to have been affected. A water pipe also burst, flooding several streets.
