Russian central bank demands almost 200 billion euros from Belgian bank Euroclear

In a lawsuit, the Russian central bank is demanding more than 18 trillion rubles in damages, equivalent to almost 196 billion euros, from Euroclear. A court in Moscow reported this on Monday. The Belgian financial institution manages most of the Russian assets that have been frozen by the European Union since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
