The Russian army has already lost “4,000 soldiers” in the fighting in Avdiivka, eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov said this during a conversation with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin. The British Defense Ministry also says that Russia has already suffered “some of its heaviest losses of the year” so far in the strategically important city.
