DFB sports director Rudi Völler will support the U21 footballers in the two remaining group games at the European Championships in Georgia and Romania. The 63-year-old arrived at the team hotel in Batumi on Saturday night and will stay until after the preliminary round.
The DFB selection will face the Czech Republic on Sunday (6:00 p.m./Sat.1), on Wednesday co-favorites England will be waiting in the final group game.
National coach Hansi Flick also considered a visit to the stars of tomorrow after the international three-pack. According to the DFB, the counted national coach can only be expected to arrive at a possible semi-final at the earliest.
