To the life of Roy Ayers
Ayers was born in Los Angeles on September 10, 1940. Already in childhood he started playing the piano and also joined the church choir. His family was a musical and supported her son. The first appearances in jazz clubs followed as a teenager. Nevertheless, it took time for the career to go up steeply.
In 1963 he was able to sign a record contract and publish his first work with the title West Coast Vibes.
With his unique mix of jazz and funk, he made a name for himself internationally and his track “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” (from 1976) should become his greatest hit.
