Roxeanne Hazes may disappear early from the tube due to the enormous success of Gerard Joling, according to TV authority Tina Nijkamp. “She has crashed completely. Sad, but it’s no different.”
Low viewing figures and negative criticisms: Roxeanne Hazes had certainly introduced her debut as a presenter at SBS 6. The fact is that the Holland House, in which she talks to each other’s performances by Dutch artists, is a big flop and that Gerard Joling gave her the success of his RTL 4-SOAP on Friday evening.
Viewing figure
Gerard really started very well with his soap only Joling. According to the TV authority, it is the ‘viewing figure Klapper’ of the Friday evening with no less than 1,119 million viewers and 32.1 percent market share in the commercial target group (25 to 54 years). “Gerard won Primetime and even beats Flikken Maastricht,” said the Telraam from Bathmen.
It is also a higher start than predecessor The Headliner had, Tina continues on her analysis canal. That started with 1,020 million viewers. It is of course not The Masked Singer, but also a higher start than Holland’s Got Talent, for example. That started in September 2024 with narrow one million viewers. “
Better than Goor
Gerard does much better than Gordon’s soap, says Tina. “This is me: Gordon started on September 6 with 461 thousand viewers. So Gerard scores more than double.”
And compared to the Bauers: 20 years later? “That series started on April 4 last year with 1.4 million viewers, but Gerard does beat Frans in 25 to 54 years: 32.1 US 29.6 percent.”
Drama for Rox
For whom the enormous success of Geer means bad news? Roxeanne Hazes and her program Het Holland Huis. “That has been completely crashed. The past two weeks it was not good with around 400 thousand viewers, but now Roxeanne has been crushed by Gerard Joling. He had a lot of more viewers there.”
There are still 296 thousand viewers left for Rox, good for 3.9 percent market share in the target group. “Horrible figures. Even the year of scored much higher. At SBS 6 they are already looking forward to Peter Gillis. Perhaps even that they will scrap the Holland House.”
Almost Easter
It would mean a huge loss for Roxeanne if SBS 6 does indeed take its show off the tube early, but, Tina says: “It is almost Easter and so these are the months in which the money has to be earned. And that is not possible with 3.9 percent. Then too much must be compensated to the advertisers.”
“So Gerard the winner and Roxeanne so the great loser of the Friday evening. Sad, but it’s no different,” said Tina, who still notices that today inside was the winner of the lock immediately with 957 thousand viewers.
Bizarre things
Gerard Joling speaks in Shownieuws His joy over the high viewing figures. “I always say that: price is not the day before the evening, because we also have to see how things are going the following weeks, but it will go to bizarre things that will soon be seen in the real -life soap.”
Show connoisseur Bart Ettekoven on the Desk: “It is waiting to see if it will stay that high, because this is what it is, this is his life and will it be fun? I thought he was a lot of pictures with people. Yes, that is now nice to have seen in episode one, but …”
Whether that stays that way? That will turn out this week …
