Rossana, the missing Caputo

The Caputo family continues to add characters on which the public eye rests. This time it’s about Rossana Caputo (66)the sister of Luis, the former finance secretary of Mauricio Macri and also former president of the Central Bank.

Rossana is also the sister of Hugo and Flavio Caputothe owners of Caputo Hermanos, the construction company that remained andIn the middle of the investigation for the financing of the Federal Revolution group, which incited to attack the vice president Cristina Kirchner and organized marches and escraches against the Government. Brenda Uliartethe accomplice of Fernando Sabag Montiel, the young man who attacked CFK, was seen in a march of that group.

The name of Rossana Caputo he was kept in reserve by Jonathan Morel, the visible face of the Federal Revolution, when they asked him about the money he had received for carpentry work he had done for a hotel developed by the Caputo company in Neuquén. The name was unknown and there was even speculation that it could be an entrepreneurial friend of hers who had Caputo Hermanos as a client. But not. It turned out to be the sister of the owners, who hired him and paid him more than 7 million pesos. The full name of the woman is Rossana Pia Caputo D’Avila, daughter of Luis Nicolás Caputo Oliveto and María Rosa D’Avila. Her siblings are: Hugo Luis Pascual, Andrea Rosa, Flavio Luis Nicolás, María Valeria and Luis Andrés, the former official nicknamed “Toto”.

In addition to having a famous brother, Rossana also has a well-known cousin: Nicolás “Nicky” Caputothe “brother of life” of former President Mauricio Macri.

Rossana is 66 years old and is married to Luis Maria Mendez Ezcurra. Within the company, she has been the alternate director since 2006 and also shares a business with her husband called “Agropecuaria Los Venados”, dedicated to agricultural businesses for 20 years.

Now for the link between Jonathan Morel and Rossana Caputo, the offices of Caputo Hermanos were raided in search of more information on the alleged financing of the group Revolución Federal. The case being processed in the Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi court seeks to determine whether Morel and company are a group of propagandists who, through their messages, could incite hatred. In Christianity, they advance one more level on the plane of hypotheses and ask themselves if there is a link between Federal Revolution and the band of “Los Copitos”. Through its messages, could Federal Revolution be the factor that leads individuals like Sabbag Montiel or Brenda Uriarte to radicalize and try to assassinate a vice president? Kirchnerism wants the attempted assassination of CFK to become a leading case of a hate attack in Argentina. “It is probable that the Federal Revolution participated in the attack against me,” Cristina said in one of her writings. In this line, the financial leg is also sought and the role of the Caputo family fits perfectly. The Macris and the Caputos are friendly families.

Details. According to the investigation, Morel worked for two enterprises that he developed Caputo Brothers. One called Espacio Añelo, in Neuquén, and another called Santa Clara to the South, in San Vicente. The contact for these works would have been Rossana Caputo, of whom it is still not known how she knew Morell. As he told NEWS, the leader of the Federal Revolution accepted the job, but his carpentry did not have the capacity to manufacture the furniture that the Caputo’s sister asked for, so he decided to hire furniture manufacturers. He would have brokered the business.

The other conflict that arose Morel as Rossana Caputo brought him the business was billing. The leader of the Federal Revolution he is a monotributist and the billing caps could leave him unable to continue billing other income, so he asked his partner and a former partner with whom he was on good terms to bill the rest of the fees. Thus, they exceeded 7 million pesos in billing detected by the Justice.

Part of Morel’s job would have consisted of traveling to Neuquén to install the furniture in the Espacio Añelo complex. This Caputo Hermanos venture is a complex of furnished and equipped apartments for temporary rentals for low-income workers who operate in Dead cow.

In his dialogues with this magazine, Morel never hid his link with the Caputos and always confirmed or denied the information that was consulted, but on every opportunity he chose to make cuts from reality that, he believed, would never be discovered. For example: every time he was asked about his business with the Caputos, he only mentioned the invoices he had made and omitted those of his partner and his former partner. He also did not want to show photos of the objects that he would have sold. He only talked about coffee tables, bars and melamine furniture. And he never mentioned the name of Rossana, the missing Caputo.

Morel explained that last March a decorator, whom he insisted on not identifying, bought him a table and a few days later he complained again because it had flaws and they had to make another one. When he returned for the second time, they began to chat: “I’m a born salesman, I’m a dealer and that’s why we built a good relationship,” Morel told NEWS about his dialogue with Rossana Caputo.

In that dialogue, according to him, Caputo asked him if he knew someone with the capacity to take charge of a large-scale carpentry business: he needed tables for the Santa Clara Al Sur complex, in San Vicente, and also for Espacio Añelo, which is built in Neuquén.

The founder of the Federal Revolution was always ambiguous in his answers and even confessed that he was amused by the situation, despite being involved in a judicial investigation, which today has him detained.

Cristina’s lawyers are targeting an episode that they will present in the file to link Macri with Morel. In 2016, when he was president, Macri was in that place when a retirement center was operating. There he was accompanied by Gustavo Posse, the mayor of San Isidro. Years later that place became Morel’s carpentry.

Theory. In Cristina’s environment, her lawyers have their own hypothesis: someone could have contacted the founders of the Federal Revolution with people close to the PRO to help them financially. “They are guys who put together a march like the one with the torches, they put the mortuary bags, the Molotov cocktails. All that has to be paid, money comes out. And that helps create a climate. One day someone comes who wants to look good with the boss and says ‘now I’m going, I’ll shoot him and go down in history,’” they say about the vice president.

But in other corridors of politics they raise a question that seems logical: can anyone believe that these actions are financed in white, with invoices and transfers? In politics everything is “100% barrani”, the liberal Carlos Maslatón would say.

At the close of this edition, Judge Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi had made progress in arrests and raids. He not only arrested Morel and raided the offices of Caputo Brothers, he also made advances on other people related to the Federal Revolution, such as Sabrina Basile, the daughter of the former DT of the National Team, Alfio “Coco” Basile.

At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rossana Caputo is also called to testify.
