Rosalía has published this Thursday on digital platforms and without prior notice the long-awaited song ‘despise‘ which had become one of the most popular of among the unreleased songs premiered on his most recent tour, ‘Motomami World Tour’.

It was at the inaugural concert in Almería on July 6 the first time that the Catalan artist performed this cut in public, which in the official repertoire was simply referred to as ‘New Mambo’, due to the musical genre to which it belongs.

It was the public that baptized it at first as ‘side by side‘ for one of his most repeated verses, in which he sings: “I move it from lao to lao”, and the one that made it viral on networks thanks to the fragments recorded live of the song. Shortly after, a video of the artist herself was added with a 35-second advance uploaded to Tik Tok.

At her first concert in Madrid, Rosalía asked the attendees which title they liked best for the song, whether the one that had come about naturally or ‘Despecha’, the one that she had proposed in her networks.

“‘Despecha’, right? I like it better too. It is officially titled that way,” he sentenced then.

The song comes in a year of many novelties for the author of ‘Bizcochito’, since in March she released ‘Motomami’ (Sony Music), her third LP, which is already considered one of the great albums of the year by international critics.

Also its corresponding tour has become a commercial and media phenomenon to which there are only two dates left to be held in Spain: in A Coruña this Friday and in Palma next Saturday.

In his jump later to the American continent, Rosalía will give three concerts in Mexico: Mexico City (August 14), Guadalajara (17) and Monterrey (19). She will also visit Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Canada.

In the United States, it will make stops in a dozen cities, such as Boston, Washington, San Francisco, and Atlanta; with a double recital at the Radio City Music Hall in New York and the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.

Finally, already in the last months of the year, will return to Europewhere he will tour Portugal, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom until closing the tour in Paris on December 18, a concert for which tickets are sold out.
