A devastating fire completely destroyed the building of Ron van Leur from Den Bosch on an industrial estate in Zaltbommel on Thursday evening. But Van Leur is not going to give up. “We will continue. Our head office is in Hedel and this is one of our warehouses. We still have several storage locations, so we can continue to supply our customers.”
The building on the industrial estate belongs to home textiles company Unique Living. “It is very sad,” says Van Leur Omroep Gelderland. “We were in Germany and immediately drove back. When we arrived here, the fire had already gone out and everything had burned out.” Van Leur was sent a photo, but at first thought it was a joke.
There were no longer any staff present in the building. “No one was injured. We can continue to deliver, but we have to arrange a lot of things for that and we are working hard on that. We can personally approach the customers affected by the fire.”

The company cannot say anything about the damage, except that the building is completely burned out and everything is gone. Van Leur can only guess at the cause at this time. “We have no idea how it came about.”
A neighbor of Van Leur was also affected by the fire. The car company had a number of cars parked near the burned building.
