Rome, Totti and the 46th birthday party: children and Noemi, the first after Ilary

The first birthday without Ilary Blasi, the second without the beloved father Enzo: two absences, although obviously different, in the life of Francesco Totti, who yesterday celebrated his 46th birthday. The thought of his father, the “Sheriff”, was there because, for the first time in a long time, the historic captain of Roma celebrated with his lifelong friends, those of a lifetime, those who in recent years had been put a little on the sidelines in favor, perhaps, of relationships more congenial to his wife’s tastes. With them, with Noemi and with his children, Francesco toasted at the restaurant on Monday evening and then, at midnight, blow on the cake. An evening of music, smiles and good food, with no room for that melancholy which, in recent months, has been his most faithful companion. Because, despite the new story making him happy, Totti experienced his own mistakes (his and Ilary’s) for the end of the marriage and the inevitable suffering that Cristian, Chanel and Isabel felt.

It is no coincidence that yesterday, on Instagram, he shared only their wishes again: the male, 17 years old in a month and a half, wrote to him: “Greetings life, I love you to death”, while the second child, 15 years old, has chose a song by Vasco Rossi (“Come nella favole”) and then added: “Best wishes to the only man in my life, I love you very much”. These were the only declarations and the only wishes that really counted for Totti, even if Roma, the football institutions and the Roma fans dedicated a lot of affection to him via social media. #Totti was in trend for a good part of the day even if, compared to the past, in a much more discreet way.

What for the Giallorossi fans is “the real Christmas, our December 25 is celebrated on September 27”, yesterday was lived with more reserve. As if all the personal events that have affected the man Totti in recent months had advised the fans a little more forethought than in the past. The good wishes of Nainggolan, Montella, Rosella Sensi and Bruno Conti made him happy, Roma published all their 307 goals (as well as a beautiful video with the most important assists) and Francesco read and saw everything. He did not leave, he remained in the capital with his family and with Naomi, he was thrilled to see some old images of him even if all the moments as a player are still well etched in his memory.

Now complicated or at least intense weeks await him: on the one hand Totti will have to decide the future of his agency, he has some commitments with sponsors to honor and then there is the whole question of separation to be finalized. After the fires of recent months, the ex-spouses are trying (this time away from the spotlight) to find an agreement to avoid ending up in court. It is not simple, but neither is it impossible. They are trying for the boys and, if they succeed, then yes that the thoughts that have accompanied Totti in recent times would be definitively swept away. A bit like that fire on the candles that he blew over a cake with a little chocolate on Monday evening together with his future (Naomi and the boys) and his past (historical friends).
