From 1982 to 2019, Sylvester Stallone embodied the taciturn war veteran Rambo. The 79-year-old actor is now also a Hollywood veteran and after five films by the internationally known action hero, it now seems to be rejuvenated.

The first “Rambo” film is based on David Morrell’s novel “First Blood” (1972) and deals with the traumatized Vietnam War veteran and special agent Rambo. Stallone fought in a total of five films as Rambo against local enemies, saved prisoners in Vietnam, freed his mentor in Afghanistan and later helped rescue a mission in Burma.
While the 70-year-old actor is not actively involved in the project, he was informed about the production and occupation of the 29-year-old young action star Centineo. It is currently not known whether Stallone is satisfied with the selection. Most recently, he wanted Ryan Gosling as successor in the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
From the cult character to the next generation
The script for the new Rambo film comes from Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, who wrote to Dwayne Johnson, among other things, on the fantasy action film “Black Adam” (2022).
