Among top scorers in Ligue 1
Stade Brest’s Romain Faivre, 23, has fueled speculation about a possible winter transfer during the week and said he is open to a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The midfielder, who hails from near Paris, is reportedly on the list for the current transfer window at the capital club.
“There was contact with my agent. It’s a Dream. it’s my city My family and friends are there,” said the left footer on Canal+. Faivre has a contract in Brest until 2025 – with 12 goals in 21 games he is one of the top scorers in Ligue 1. Last year Faivre was linked with AC Milan, according to “goalHowever, a possible deal failed because the offer was too low from Brest’s point of view (12 million euros).
The winger, who came from AS Monaco for just 400,000 in 2020, had already made it clear back then that he was aiming for a move to a top club: “I made it clear that I have high goals and ambitions in football. […] I’m preparing to be above the rest. I pay attention to my physique, my diet, my sleep. I put all these little details together to help me get to a team like AC Milan.” At the last market value update, it jumped from EUR 13 million to EUR 15 million.

Faivre can be used variably in midfield, at Paris Saint-Germain the 23-year-old would face well-known competition with Marco Verratti, Georginio Wijnaldum or Ander Herrera. Interesting: Among the 19 most expensive PSG transfers since the takeover of “Qatar Sports Investments” in 2011, Kylian Mbappé was only a Frenchman.
“We want to keep Romain until the end of the season and we don’t want him to leave this winter. But if there’s an offer we can’t refuse, we’ll look into it,” sporting director Grégory Lorenzi told “L’Equipe‘ announce.
