Open house session on the first day of the new year in view of the derby on January 5th against Lazio. Everyone present except Cristante and Dovbyk: the former will miss the match, the Ukrainian will be there
“You make us feel loved.” After about an hour of training Claudio Ranieri wanted to thank the fans in the center of the pitch. A bath of love that he received this afternoon from his Rome. Almost three thousand people, in fact, chose to spend New Year’s Day at the Tre Fontane facility to attend the open session a few days before the derby. Many children, many families but also the fans of the Curva who made themselves noticed with a banner dedicated to the match against Lazio next Sunday at the Olimpico.
Ranieri praised

Ovations and many photos especially for Dybala, Koné and Hummels. The most praised, however, was Ranieri himself, for whom there were chants and applause. The coach endorsed the club’s choice to give away a day in contact with the team for a fan base who has never failed to support him and who hasn’t been able to watch training so closely for some time. 12,000 had requested tickets, but the facility could accommodate “only” 2,850 fans. At the end of the session (around 4.10pm), Sir Claudio took the microphone excitedly: “Thank you all for coming today. You make us feel loved and that is the most important thing. I wish all of you and your families a happy 2025 and we will do everything to make sure you are proud of us. Thanks again to everyone.”
the training

On the pitch we saw first the classic warm-up and then a practice match which ended 2-0 for the white team and was surprisingly decided by a brace from the young Misitano. Excellent performance from the Primavera striker born in 2005 who showed off himself in Ranieri’s eyes. Only Cristante and Dovbyk are absent, the former will not play the derby due to a sprained ankle while the Ukrainian was scheduled to train in the gym but is not in doubt for the match against Lazio.
