Roma-Boreale 4-0 friendly: Aouar is already surprising

The new arrival starred in the Giallorossi’s first game of the season against an excellent team. The baby Pagano, Solbakken and El Shaarawy also scored

José Mourinho’s first commitment of the season for Roma, although perhaps it would be more appropriate to speak of a trip. At 10.30 the men of Special One took to the field in Trigoria for the first summer friendly. A useful test to forfeit minutes in your legs or a little more. In fact, in a match structured over two half-hour halves, the Giallorossi prevailed 4-0 over Boreale (historic team on the Roman football scene currently in Excellence).

Form and experiments

In a first half practically devoid of emotion, Mourinho reproposed the usual 3-5-2 with Karsdorp, Mancini and Llorente in front of the third goalkeeper Boer. On average debut for Aouar and the young Pagano – man of the match – together with Matic and with Zalewski and El Shaarawy on the outside. To form the attack tandem instead Dybala and El Shaarawy.

The match

In the first half hour, the game was played at a low pace also due to the high temperature and Boreale’s desire to honor the commitment against Dybala and his teammates. To break the deadlock is Pagano who in the 27th minute gives Roma the lead thanks to an assist from Belotti. The goal from the yellow and red baby remains the only start of the first half. In the second half the music changes, also due to the tiredness that inevitably assails the men of the Boreale. The second goalkeeper Svilar, Solbakken – for an exhausted Dybala – and the young Golic in place of Llorente enter Rome. But it is Aouar who steals the show, who in his first outing as a Romanist shows off the qualities that convinced Tiago Pinto to sign him. In the 40th minute it was the ex Lyon who propitiated the 2-0 with a violent right foot countered by the opposing goalkeeper and converted into a goal by the newcomer Solbakken. The 3-0 was instead thanks exclusively to El Shaarawy, good at finding the net with a right-footed shot from the edge of the area. One minute from the end of the match, however, it is still Aouar who makes himself dangerous, making it 4-0 after a triangle with Belotti. Naturally it is only the first summer friendly, especially useful to test the conditions of the players available to Mourinho. The signals launched by Aouar however, albeit with due proportions, bode well for the coach and the Roma supporters. Only the bench instead for the other two newcomers Ndicka and Kristensen: both allowed themselves before the match to take selfies with some small fans present.
