Virkus no longer sports managing director in Gladbach

The sporting crisis at Borussia Mönchengladbach has followed. Roland Virkus separates from the club and steps back.
The Presidium and the Supervisory Board “gave birth to his tasks on his proposal,” wrote Borussia in a statement. President Rainer Bonhof said: “We are in the bodies of the united opinion that we want to set up differently for the future orientation in the sporting field.”
Bonhof added: “This step was certainly not easy, because he lives Borussia and took over the position of managing director Sport in February 2022 in a very difficult situation. We thank him for his commitment as managing director.” He emphasized that Virkus will always remain “Borusse”.
Virkus himself said: “I always said that the club is above everything and therefore decided to take this step.” Gladbach’s chairman of the supervisory board, Michael Hollmann, also had aime.
