“Finding a vocation saved my life,” he says Rodrigo Lussichjournalist and coconductor “Intruders”the show program that goes for its 25th season. He was always clear about what he wanted and found from the chimiento the way to entertain and make the public laugh. With his “scandalones” he reviewed comedy the news of the celebrities and from their Instagram account, @rodrilussichgenerates content that may or may not have to do with the show. In addition, he stars “Nude partners”next to his colleague and friend, Adrián Pallareswork with which he travels the country and will return to the Regina Theater of the City of Buenos Aires for a new function on August 2.
News: What came first, artistic or journalistic vocation?
Rodrigo Lussich: They came half together, but I would say artistic. My old people were actors, I had a family closely related to art, music, theater and I think that the firstborn dream had to do with being an actor. But at the same time I played programs from a very young age. It was half mixed. At 14 he already did a radio program. Journalism took me. I consider that what I do is more artistic than journalistic, especially in the genre that I do, which I think does not admit too much journalistic rigor, but I have done other things that have had it. I do chimentos because it is what allowed me to grow, show me, get to the place I am getting now, which is humor, entertainment and animation.
News: Is a guilty pleasure the gossip?
Lussich: Super guilty and very hypocritical. There is a double ugly rod with chiempo. We do not accompany us so much brands or do not hire great marketing campaigns and we are more popular than other people who do them. The chiempo has a frightful prejudice, it is fat, it is mersa, it is a buchón, but then all consume it, it is the president that nobody voted.
News: Can you continue to fight for scoop within the journalism of shows?
Lussich: It is re demodic the scoop, it has already become fashionable since anyone with a post on Instagram or in X can tell something, it was democratized to a point that does not cease to be something to measure us among which we do this. The people who follow us know that we are not going there. Every day I cross with people who tell me about the program and tell me how much they laugh. It never happened to me that someone told me: “How good that scoop you told.” I understand that there are niches for everything, the one who wants a more traditional chimentism journalism has where to find it. It also finds it in “Intruders”, which is still a show program that has to honor the fame that precedes it. Something that I think has defined me is how, more than what. If I have fun put another wave. If it bores me I do not cage it and there I complement myself with my partner, Adrián, who has a more journalistic profile.
News: Lately they had several very good days at the rating level, seconds in the strip, behind Telefe, but in front of El Trece and the nine. Is it something that pays attention to?
Lussich: Yes, I pay attention because it is our daily bread. I think the program is very successful, and the days that we do not do such a good number I do not understand what happens. Trying to understand rating is a lost task. It is the parameter we have and we have to accept it. The days that is going wrong, I’m doing badly and the days I am doing well, I’m dancing in a leg. You are yesterday’s rating, one gives evidence every day. It is very unfortunate. Sometimes it is more the pressure that one that puts a channel or manager puts you. The rating generates me more impact on the ego than the scoop.
News: There are many show programs, in the morning, noon, afternoon, night. Is there a real spicy or each one does theirs?
Lussich: I think we are all a bit attentive to what the other does and how much the other measures. One has more logical and more illogical skills. Our competition is with Channel 9, not with thirteen or with programs of our same channel. The competition is who you have in front. In that sense, we won. As a personal opinion, I think there are too many chimentos programs for the material we have. I love that everyone has the work, but I think there is enormous saturation, which has to do with the TV crisis, because they are cheaper programs to do. It is not for everyone, you have to know how to do it. I think one is received from the driver when he drives live, for a long time. I love Darío Barassi or Nico Occhiato, drivers who edited are barbarians, but the difficult thing is to fight it live.
News: There are some examples of personalities that went from streaming to TV, such as Occhiato, who is doing well in “La Voz”, or Homer Pettinato, which lasted less than a month, what does TV have that remains attractive?
Lussich: Because silver is gained and a rating point is much more than the best measurement of a streaming. The mass of television, despite its great fall in terms of numbers, continues to exist. I like TV and I like to defend it.
News: Marcelo Tinelli was a great untouchable and today he has to be in the center of the scandal, is there still untouchable in the middle?
Lussich: Less and less. There are few irreproachable people in the middle, and most of those who were irreproachable died, China Zorrilla, Enrique Pinti, great artists. When you work with the opinion of public divide, all the time. And if you are a Tinelli, someone who has had so much power, so much transcendence, the day you fall, there will be many people waiting to kick their heads. He has exposed more than he would have had with issues such as politics or football.
News: What vision does the show industry have at this time? With the lack of fiction, but the rise of theatrical proposals …
Lussich: For the actors the place is the theater because the possibility of doing something audiovisual is very limited. Many actors also had responsibility for the fiction crisis on air television. Salaries that cannot be paid, beyond the very high costs of the technical, are a whole.
News: How did the idea of getting on the stage with Pallares arose with “naked partners”?
Lussich: They asked us for a function, as something extraordinary, but since we were going to prepare a show we wanted to get the juice. We found a producer, we toured the country and this year we reinforce it and professionalize it more. We are doing very well, we enjoy it, we don’t have the pressure of TV. He entertains us, TV is suffered, row. The theater is a playful place. The minute by minute attempts against creativity. We do not make a show of counts, we do a play of humor. With Adrián we have a very particular chemistry and we complement each other. Nor is it something for life, each one has their professional and personal ambitions and at some point the duo will no longer be.
News: What a professional level what are you looking for?
Lussich: Last year I tried to drive “100 Argentines say”, but they had already hired José María Listorti. I know I liked it a lot. Driving a game or entertainment program is something that is on the horizon. Every day I am more determined to fully dedicate myself to humor. On my Instagram account I work with a screenwriter, an editor, I made more than 200 videos, I make a differentiated content with humor as a common denominator. I am in full process.
News: And how are you?
Lussich: More mature with respect to a more impulsive thing of my life, and finds me positioned on my loneliness in a way that makes it not suffer. As a young man suffered, I had relations just for not being alone. Today is something that would not allow me. There is no one on the sentimental horizon, but I don’t force anything, I know that if I don’t go looking for it, it is also more difficult, but I am very good with me. If the spark does not turn on, it will be very difficult for him to be a couple again, which I long for, but not at any price. I am not willing to give in practically anything, but that makes things cost more. I would like to have a great relationship of maturity.
News: He has told some more difficult things about his childhood, how has he managed to reconcile with his family present?
Lussich: It is very relaxed. I recognize that I have made a marketing of my story. It helped me take it from a more playful and less heavy side. I know that some people in my family feel that perhaps trivialize things that happened in another way, and can hurt. I chose to travel so and that saved me. I love my old people, I thank you for everything they have given me. The freedom with which I handle it to them. I would not change anything about the life I lived. I recognize that there were dramatic moments, but it worked for me and relieved me with humor. I have no pending accounts.
