Fellow actor Sylvester Stallone mourns: “You were an incredible person and artist.”
Burt Young is dead. The actor died on October 8, 2023 at the age of 83. The mime became famous primarily for his role as Paulie in “Rocky”. There he played Rocky’s friend and brother-in-law and received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1977.
“Rocky” lead actor Sylvester Stallone commented on the death of his fellow actor via Instagram. Along with a photo from the filming, he shared the words: “To my dear friend BURT YOUNG, you were an incredible person and artist, I and the world will miss you very much… RIP”.
Burt Young was born on April 30, 1940 in New York City. Until his death, he lived in Port Washington, New York, and also ran a restaurant in the Bronx. He was most recently seen prominently in “Russian Doll” (2019).
