On Tuesday, June 3, Dave Mason, the founder of the Traffic band, announced that he would cancel his 2025 tour.

The reason for the cancellation is continuous health problems, which have been tormented by the guitarist since 2024. The tour was scheduled to begin on July 11, Kansas City, Missouri and end in August 20, Salisbury, Massachusetts.

– In terms of deeply regret, I have to cancel all 2025 tour days due to continuous health problems due to the infection I received in March. I am extremely grateful to my medical team – this has been at least a challenging area, Mason says on Instagram.

Previous health problems

This is the second time that Mason has to cancel his tour due to health problems. The autumn 2024 tour also did not materialize when he was found in September a serious heart disease in the routine inspection.

Mason hoped to return to the stage in the spring and summer of 2025, but in March he became ill with a serious infection.
