Some of the viewers of the Emma gala mistakenly thought that the stripes on Robin’s shirt were the Russian flag.

Singer Robin Packalen participated in the Emma gala organized yesterday, February 3.

The singer had chosen to wear an army green sweater with two tiles on the chest. One of the tiles was white and the other red. Some of the viewers of the Emma gala mistook the tiles for the Russian flag. Some also criticized the army’s choice of green color for the gala and connected the outfit to the prevailing world situation.

There was a discussion about the tiles on social media. Now Packalen commented on the matter in the stories section of his own Instagram account.

– If someone here gets a Russian flag, I recommend visiting an optician, Packalen roars.

– And for those who feel the matter is unclear, I do not accept Russia’s actions in any way, Packalen continues.

After his writing, Packalen added a close-up of the tiles. The white plate says the designer of the sweater, Rolf Ekroth, and the red one says “Galen Värld”, or crazy world in Swedish.

At the gala, Packalen shared the award for the pop category of the year together with the artist Viiv.

Packalen is known for hits, among other things Summer tires, frontside ollie and Hula Hula.

Robin Packalen also presents his outfit in a video.
