Robin Frijns crashes in Le Mans 24 hours and drops out | 1Limburg

Robin Frijns dropped out in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Limburger of Team WRT, who took the win last year, crashed himself and couldn’t get the car to start again.

As a result, the Maastricht resident and his team had to give up the fight just over five hours before the end.

Frijns, together with Sean Gelael and René Rast, formed one of the three teams of Team WRT. Frijns, riding in seventh position in the LMP2 class, was almost at the end of his driving time when things went wrong. With the Oreca 07 – Gibson he came out too wide. As a result, he lost control of the car and shot into the guardrail. Frijns tried to get the car to roll, but that didn’t work. The resident of Maastricht then got out of the car unharmed.
