Robert ten Brink only makes an exception for Linda de Mol

In principle, Robert ten Brink never watches quizzes or games presented by one of his colleagues. There is only one person for whom he makes an exception: Linda de Mol.

As presenter of the TV quiz Weekend Millionaires, 67-year-old Robert ten Brink is one of the most famous quiz masters in our country. You’d think that’s why he likes to watch other quizzes and games on television, but nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, he deliberately avoids them.

An exception

Robert doesn’t like to watch those kinds of programs. “I don’t watch programs that I think I could present myself. That’s boring for me to watch. By that I mean all quizzes and game shows. Except for Miljoenenjacht.”

He only makes an exception for Linda de Mol, he says in the VARA guide. “How Linda does that is inimitable. So natural, unconventional and therefore fun.”

‘Terrible!’

Furthermore, Robert likes to let everything pass by. “I think all those fun entertainment programs are terrible. I’m too old for that too.”

Who does he like to watch? “I really enjoy Rick Nieman. I take my hat off to the way in which he goes through current affairs with a number of people on Sunday morning.”

Robert to WNL?

Robert himself does not like to make such a WNL on Sunday-like show. “Now that is a program that is not for you to present. That would really be a nightmare for you,” notes his wife Roos in the double interview.

Robert: “Right. You should never overplay your hand.”

Mediacourant would like to thank you very much for your frequent visit in the past year and wishes you a joyous new year. See you in 2023! ?
