Robert De Niro’s company was found guilty of gender discrimination – Ordered to pay huge damages

The jury found that Robert De Niro was not personally responsible for the abuse of his former assistant.

Actor Robert De Niro, 80, Canal Productions has been found guilty of gender discrimination and retaliation. However, the jury found that De Niro himself was not personally responsible for the abuse directed at his former assistant to Graham Chase Robinson41.

Sky News – and Deadline -magazines, the judge ordered De Niro’s company to pay more than 1.1 million euros in damages to Robinson. The jury also decided to acquit Robinson of all financial wrongdoing over the past 11 years he worked for De Niro.

The verdict was handed down on Thursday, October 9 at the New York courthouse. De Niro wasn’t there for his sentencing, but Robinson was. According to reports, Robinson smiled and hugged his legal team when he heard the verdict.

– We are satisfied with the jury’s decision. Most importantly, the jury saw what Ms. Robinson, Robinson’s attorney, testified Brent Hannafan comment to the press.

De Niro’s lawyer Richard Schoenstein is again satisfied that Robinson’s legal team did not receive the $12 million compensation they demanded.

– Apparently they got it right with De Niro, that’s for sure. This seems to me like a compromise verdict, Schoenstein states.

– But De Niro was not found guilty at all, he emphasizes.

The legal battle between De Niro and Robinson began in 2019, when the actor sued his former assistant for breach of duty. Two months later, Robinson sued the actor for gender discrimination, toxic working conditions and retaliation.

Robinson claimed that De Niron made lewd comments to her and told her to do household chores, such as washing his sheets and buttoning his shirts. De Niron, on the other hand, claimed that Robinson behaved in a controlling manner and stole millions of loyalty points from him.
