Rob Kemps seriously disappoints TV connoisseurs: ‘It’s really a shame’

Rob Kemps seriously disappoints TV connoisseurs with the new step in his television career. He will replace Linda de Mol as presenter of Ik Hou Van Holland. “This is really very unfortunate.”

Angela de Jong, the chief of the TV connoisseurs, thinks I Love Holland is a bit over the hill is. “I actually thought it was over with Ik Hou Van Holland. That it was on its last legs in recent seasons,” says the opinion diva in the AD Media podcast

Angela disappointed

I Love Holland is also no longer the ratings hit it used to be, says Angela. “I really had the feeling that it was about ready. The season with Leo Alkemade did not score that well after all.”

She finds Rob Kemps as the new presenter disappointing. She thinks he’s far too talented to make these superficial shows. “It is still a bit of a shame that he is put in that corner every time. It’s a shame when you see what he can do with Chansons and how good he is at getting people excited about something else.”

scream program

Chansons do Rob great, Angela thinks. In this program, Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and he take the viewer along in their love for the French song. “And to put him in such a screaming program again…”, Angela grumbles.

Colleague Marcus den Blanken thinks it’s good that Linda isn’t going to do it. “That also seems sensible to me. I would not have been able to watch Linda de Mol in this program. Then you see Linda de Mol acting happy, while you know: hey, it’s actually not going so well with her.”

Rob was therefore chosen as her substitute. Angela: “It’s his right, but I can say I’m sorry, isn’t it?”

“Can’t he do much more?”

Among the competitors of the Telegraaf media podcast they are not thrilled either. “Can’t Rob Kemps present much more than games?”, wonders film journalist Marco Weijers.

Media reporter Daphne van Rossum: “Maybe they have no other format for him.”

TV expert Jordi Versteegden: “Isn’t that a shame? Of course we know what kind of multi-talented he is. He became known in De Slimste Mens, he is a very smart lad. You don’t just win that program. He does songs really well with Matthijs.”

thousandths cloth

In any case, everything is better than Linda, Daphne thinks. “Yes, because this is fun, creating atmosphere. She is now elsewhere.”

And then there is also private journalist Jan Uriot. He is also critical of Rob’s appointment. “Of course he has to be careful that he does not become Talpa’s thousand-things cloth, because that will happen now,” he concludes in the section What does Jan think?
