Roald Lapperre becomes Secretary General at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature. The Council of Ministers has agreed to the proposal from Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment starts on September 1, 2025.
The SG of LVVN is the first adviser to the LVVN ministers and works with its teams and stakeholders on solutions in the field of, among other things: nitrogen reduction, nature conservation and food security. Together they make an essential contribution to the well -being of current and future generations in the Netherlands. The SG is responsible for the overall internal organization of LVVN, including the official organizational development and the strategic -content development, and, together with the administrative council, provides a manual management of policy and implementation.

Roald Lapperre:

Ir. RP (Roald) Lapperre has been director-general Kingdom Relations at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in recent years. Before that he was Director-General of the Environment and International and Deputy Director-General for Space and Water at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. He previously worked for more than twenty years at the then Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, including as deputy director-general Agro and Nature. Roald studied cultural technology at Wageningen University.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service. Directorate General General Administrative Service carried out the recruitment for this appointment and supported the Ministry of LVVN in the selection. The vacancy was widely announced as usual, so that everyone could apply.
