Riley Keough pays tribute to Lisa Marie Presley on first Mother’s Day since her death

Riley Keough dedicated a post to her mother Lisa Marie Presley on Mother’s Day, which fell on Sunday (May 14) on her social media channels. It was the first Mother’s Day since the death of Elvis Presley’s only daughter. She had died on January 12, 2023 at the age of 54 after a cardiac arrest. “I was fortunate to have the best and most loving mother I could have wished for,” Keough wrote in the caption of the post.

Numerous followers and celebrities, including Naomi Campbell and Lindsay Lohan, commented on the post, which shows Lisa Marie Presley, Danny Keough and their daughter Riley Keough as a toddler.

The singer-songwriter’s death earlier this year came just days after her last public appearance at the 2023 Golden Globes, where Austin Butler picked up Best Actor for his role as Elvis in the biopic of the same name.

Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla Presley, wrote in a statement: “It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news of the loss of our beautiful daughter Lisa Marie. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
