The new branch of over 3,500 square meters will be located in a new park in the middle of the Brabant city. The museum should open in 6 to 8 years.
“The Rijksmuseum is by and for everyone. The museum has a world-famous collection of more than 1 million objects and is continuously working to share the collection in various ways with the whole of the Netherlands. The Rijksmuseum in Eindhoven is an important step in making the collection even more accessible in the South of the Netherlands,” says Rijksmuseum director Taco Dibbits.
The plan will be further developed in the coming year.
