What will it be for Linda de Mol: once the TV queen of the Netherlands, now badly avoided by the viewer. Her program brilliant brains started disappointing, but has now really collapsed.
Linda de Mol has come up with her new program Briljante Breinen herself. Witty enough, brother John de Mol thought it was too complicated for SBS 6 and that is why she is loaned once to RTL 4. Are we dealing here with a kind of two to twelve? No, we see Linda who raises questions about Queen Máxima like a strict school teacher. Sigh.
Hefty decrease
It is poor television, way too long and boring too. The result? Brilliant brains is a flop. The second episode was massively avoided last night by TV-watching Netherlands, Consideration shows from Tina Nijkamp.
Tina thinks it is very big. “Brilliant brains scores 220 thousand viewers lower, namely 451 thousand viewers. That 671 thousand. The most remarkable? The quiz is now almost overtaken by the direct competitor (and also knowledge quiz) De Allesweter VIPS, from Rob Kamphues on SBS 6. Who ever expected?!?!”
“This is unexpected”
Where Linda loses a third of her viewers, Rob is up in the elevator. “Unexpected this. An increase precisely there. From 396 thousand viewers to 449 thousand viewers now. Only two thousand viewers less than brilliant brains. So nothing saves.”
She continues: “Special, because most shows scored lower than last week. Linda seems to have lost older viewers in particular to Rob. In 25 to 54 years, Linda scores the same as last week: 20.1 percent versus 20.3 percent last week.”
Best Singers
The big winner of the evening was best singers with 1.4 million viewers on NPO 1. There are more for last week, so for programs that are worth it, they really turn on the TV.
“Many other programs hand in some viewers, also because of the nice weather,” concludes Tina.
