Riet (92) slept in a cave in Palestinian area, surrounded by Israeli settlements: “They needed me as a human shield”

Not at home in Loppersum, but on the western Jordoever, Riet Bonsstorm (92) celebrated her birthday this year. She traveled to assist a Palestinian family, in an area where tensions and violence increase. “My presence gives them a sense of safety. If possible, I will go back.”
