After his smash hits in the late ’80s, Richard Marx turned to writing songs for others, but not only. The American has released a total of ten albums. The last, “Limitless”, was released in 2020. Now he has produced an album with his son Lucas that contains four strictly divided genres.
Above all, this album shows what Richard Marx is: an accomplished songwriter
Five songs are American pop enriched with modern tricks. Five is rock music – it’s pop with distorted guitars. Five others are Modern Country, including One Day Longer, co-written with Keith Urban. The final quintet consists of classic MOR ballads. A composed Marx with Burt Bacharach. Above all, this album shows what Richard Marx is: an accomplished songwriter.
