At Grillroom Sofram at the Rembrandtgallerij in Roosendaal, another explosive exploded on Monday night. It is already the sixth time that an attack has been committed at this case.
The explosion took place around half past four at night. The huge bang would have been heard far in the area.
Explosions took place five times before at the Grillroom. In addition, there was a shot once on the building. The area has been closed off and the police are investigating.
‘I am the victim and then my case will be closed’
Due to all the unrest, the municipality decided to close the case several times. This in the hope that peace would return to the Rembrandt gallery. The owner was disappointed by this measure.
“I am the victim and then my case will be closed,” Recep Çelik sighed at the end of June. “Closing the case turned out not to be a solution either, because the attacks went on.
The municipality and the police have also taken extra safety measures after all events. What exactly they are, Çelik cannot say. “It remains to be seen whether the peace will return in the future.”

Roosendaal has been struggling with safety at the Rembrandt gallery for some time. Earlier, Cafeteria Ceder and Theehuis Cizbiz Köfte were the victims of attacks.
At the last attack on Cizbiz Köfte, the whole front and back door was blown out of the store. This case is now gone and a Burger Express is located there.
‘Situation is very difficult’
Mayor Mark Buijs already called the situation at the Rembrandt gallery ‘very difficult’ at the beginning of June. “We have been working on safety there for years. There are cameras, but unfortunately that does not stop everyone.” The fact that the police are more present also seems to help little for the time being.
