Retiring Marco Bizot stirred by AZ fans during lap of honor

In the halftime of AZ – RKC Waalwijk (1-3) Marco Bizot said goodbye to the AZ crowd. The goalie left the Alkmaar club last summer and continued his career with the French Stade Brest. Bizot walked through the AZ stadium with a big smile.

The supporters have a bad feeling about the defeat against RKC, but the farewell to Marco Bizot was nice to see. The keeper from Zwaag was already very popular with the fans in his time as an AZ player and that became all the more apparent on Sunday afternoon. All supporters clapped their hands for their ex-public favorite.

Bizot is doing very well in France. He has kept all 37 matches so far and his club Stade Brest is in a respectable twelfth place.
