Priest responds to prayer sessions of Dutch national team players: ‘Brave that they do this’

The outpouring that a large group of players from the Dutch national team are talking to each other about faith caused a lot of controversy on Wednesday in a positive sense. The players indicate that they hold the prayer sessions to create more solidarity in the team. Sometimes the help of Pastor Freddy is called in or attacker Cody Gakpo steps forward as a discussion leader. The Dutch Christian community has responded enthusiastically to the openness of the players.
