The increasing number of shoplifting is a growing burden for independent supermarkets and specialty shops in Flanders. That is why ‘Buurtsuper.be’, the federation of independent supermarkets, asks the federal government to take urgent action: either a solid prosecution policy, or the possibility for retailers to make a dading with thieves themselves.
