The sales in the retail trade of the euro zone rose slightly in April.
In the month comparison, the proceeds climbed by 0.1 percent, as the European Statistics Office Eurostat announced on Friday in Luxembourg. Economists had expected a greater increase of 0.2 percent.
However, the sales in March had climbed 0.4 percent. Initially, a decline was determined by 0.1 percent.
Compared to the same month last year, retail sales rose by 2.3 percent in April. An increase of 1.5 percent was expected here.
