The penultimate test before the league start was successful: Hannover 96 beats third division club Hansa Rostock clearly. The decision is made by double strike.
Hannover 96 clearly won the test game against third division club Hansa Rostock on Friday afternoon. In front of around 4,200 spectators in the Eilenriedestadion, the team of coach Christian Titz won 3-0 (1-0).
The first quarter of an hour was balanced-the first dangerous action recorded Hansa by Maximilian Krauss, whose shot parried 96 keeper Leo Weinkauf (15th). In return, Hanover’s Monju Momuluh initially failed on the crossbar, Jannik Rochelt put the margin over the goal.
A little later Rochelt did better: After a long ball by Hendry Blank, he ran towards Hansa’s goalkeeper Max Hagemoser in the 28th minute and scored the 1-0 lead by Lupfer. Hansa came to a dangerous end before the break, but the ball passed the post (43.).
After the change of sides, Hanover increased the pace. Brooklyn Ezeh initially only hit the crossbar (51.), then a double strike made for the decision: In the 66th minute, Hendry Blank scored from the turmoil in the penalty area to 2: 0, just three minutes later Lars Gindorf completed 3: 0 (69.).
In the final phase, several young players received deployment time on both sides. Other mandatory opportunities failed to do.
On Saturday there will be a dress rehearsal for Serie-A-Club Cagliari Calcio for Hanover. On August 3, the Lower Saxony starts the new season against 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
