Bystanders managed to prevent a car from burning out last night. Before the fire brigade arrived, residents of the Lindelaan in Assen had already extinguished the car by quickly throwing buckets of water over it.
Car fires are more frequent in Assen. Last week a car from Burgemeester de Dreuplein burned, last night the fire brigade received a report of a car fire on Lindelaan. Due to the quick action of the neighborhood, the fire brigade only had to check this time.
Police are investigating the car fire.
