Residents at the Stuwwal in Emmen overran a burglar at 10:40 p.m. last night. The residents were not at home during the burglary, but came home just as the burglar had just entered.
The residents tried to stop the fleeing burglar, but he managed to escape. One of the residents suffered minor injuries.
The police later managed to catch the burglar after a ‘suspicious situation’ on the Polenstraat in Emmen. The person matched the description and turned out to still have the loot from the burglary with him.
